Buyer/ strategic sourcing (Poland/ Eastern Europe) Location: 100% home office (Poland or Czech Republic) Ref. PL22-R700-S02
Our Client is a German, well capitalized start up, founded under the initiative of construction industry experts. They are a cross-border trader of Construction material (finished components) that is solving the supply shortage and price increase for construction businesses in a €800Bn+ (EU only) building materials market. They are serving the biggest German General Contractors.
Due to their dynamic development they are looking for a new team member responsible for managing the end to end procurement process: from supplier acquisition to contracting followed by delivery coordination from Poland or Czech Republic to Germany.
Key Responsibilities:
In this role you will be reporting to Global Head of Procurement located in Germany and you will be mainly responsible for:
- Identifying supply base for construction materials in Poland or Czech Republic
- Managing sourcing projects, vendor selection and supplier negotiations
- Managing Rfx process
- Suppliers on boarding
- Performing supplier evaluations, monitoring supplier quality and delivery
- Supply chain management
- Delivering business results (ex. cost optimization, supplier performance, availability)
- Collecting and interpreting procurement data including cost analysis reporting, benchmarking spends, RFP data and return on investment
- Managing the day to day relationship with suppliers to build long term rapport and drive extraordinary results
- Partner with stakeholders, executive leaders and department heads to understand business needs. Then, establish requirements, scope and criteria for procurement projects
- Performing capacity analysis and minimize risk in the supply chain
Qualifications:
- BA/MA degree in Business, Procurement, Supply Chain, or a related field
- 4+ years of experience managing sourcing projects as well as managing end to end supply chain process
- Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques
- Experience in real estate, property management, or construction is a plus
- Contracting, negotiation and risk management skills
- Strong analytical skills and fluency with Excel or Google Sheets required
- Business ethics and transparency
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to navigate and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Adaptability, problem solving
- Very good time management skills
- Fluent English, native Polish or native Czech
