Our Client is the world market leader in the design, manufacture, delivery, service and optimization of durable, high-quality equipment that companies use for recovering and upcycling leftovers from processing meat, poultry, fish and various kinds of industrial waste into sustainable feed and food products, ingredients, proteins and biofuels.

 

Reporting to the Global Sourcing and Procurement Director (Denmark), you will be mostly responsible for:


Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Participate in developing and deployment of Category Management for the global team
  • Drive effective execution of the category strategies
  • Support development of, and ensure global implementation of policies and processes for the department
  • Develop and sustain appropriate and value generating supplier relations and strong cooperation with internal stakeholders
  • Build up strong cooperation with relevant key stake holders globally
  • Continuously build and maintain a supplier base which will support our Client for current and future needs, in regards to cost competitiveness, quality and delivery performance, manufacturing footprint etc.
  • Develop sourcing strategies also considering dual sources when required
  • Actively support agreed prioritized commercial areas, such as cost reductions, increased payment terms etc.
  • Drive and ensure facts based total cost decisions for all procurement decisions within the categories
  • Drive structured cost reduction activities involving suppliers as well as relevant internal stakeholders globally, as well as supporting minimizing stocks levels through appropriate MOQ´s, lead time and throughput time and cost
  • Close cooperation with internal stakeholders globally to ensure implementation of agreed Category Strategies, cost out projects etc.
  • Responsible for annual agreed negotiations are being performed, partly by yourself and partly by regional colleagues, as well as for participate in setting and meeting agreed targets, including reporting on progress
  • Participate in internal projects initiated by, or supported by Sourcing & Procurement
  • Participate in developing best practices, templates and processes
  • Participate in long term resource planning in the department
  • Be an active part of the Sourcing & Procurement team by being open, honest, strait forward, prepared and meet agreed targets, deliveries and responsibilities
  • Be a strong role model for the company’s journey towards an implementation of Category Management

Qualifications: 

  • a Master Degree from a Business School or University
  • category management experience derived from several years of working as a regional or global category manager/owner within direct materials
  • knowledge of best-practice category management  and has a proven track record of defined and executed category strategy
  • regional/global stakeholder management experience established through extensive and successful collaboration with senior stakeholders across Europe/globally
  • business partnering skills built on a profound understanding of line of business priorities within own subcategories
  • extensive experience negotiating commercial and legal terms and conditions and fronting complex negotiations
  • considerable experience and knowledge of working with Total Cost of Ownership (TCO)
  • experienced project manager with a strong track record of successfully completed strategic sourcing projects according to category management methodology delivering strong outcomes
  • collaborative and strategic mindset
  • Fluent English and Polish
