Our Client is a global leader in metal flow engineering.
Position goals:
- Support European and global plants with ocean freight procurement activities, executing the strategic decision of moving towards FOB Raw Material inbounds
- Coordinate and run spot and regular freight quotations, constantly strive to find efficiencies and reduce lead-times and cost in transportation area
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to award freight forwarding providers for given period
Key Responsibilities:
In this newly set role within Group Procurement department, you will be mostly responsible for:
- Conducting freight RFQs by a) Collecting data & preparing baseline, b) Analyzing the offers and presenting the results in few different scenarios
- Creating and be the owner of the ocean freight KPI dashboard, monthly reporting
- Evaluating freight forwarding suppliers’ activities and identifying potential opportunities for improvements
- Creating transport reports, charts, spend analysis to recommended more cost effective methods of transportation
- Supporting Sales, Production, Procurement, Supply Chain groups for any freight pricing estimation requests
- Performing data analysis (BI cube, external data from freight forwarders)
- Providing freight cost savings, cost avoidance, market benchmark (Xeneta) calculation periodically
- Supporting the ocean transport environmental foot print data collection and emission calculations
Qualifications:
- Fluent command of English
- University degree preferably in Supply Chain, Economics, Management, Procurement, Engineering or equivalent fields of study
- Previous experience in logistics & transport operations, procurement, data analytics positions (minimum 5 years) on the regional level
- Prior experience of working in a Multinational Logistics service provider & contract logistics companies is strongly desired
- Strong analytical skills, ability to analyze complicated data, interpret and use facts and figures in an effective manner
- Solid knowledge and experience in using Excel. BI tools knowledge would be an advantage
- Role requires a combination of analytical thinking & expertise knowledge
- Demonstrated a keen attention to details and be able to communicate across cross-functional teams
- Entrepreneurial, ambitious, flexible and willing to develop career internationally
- Can do attitude

- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and meeting operational needs, through effective time-management and prioritization.
