Our Client is a global pharmaceutical and consumer packaged goods manufacturing company. Due to substantial development of their global service center in Prague, they are looking for a Senior Buyer to join their Marketing Services team.
Key responsibilities
Reporting to the Sourcing Manager (UK) you will be mostly responsible for:
Working closely with internal stakeholders – Category Leaders to understand the category strategy Acting as a prime point of contact for Marketing Agencies Category in the region Assuring procurement KPI’s for the category Managing supplier communications, including sourcing event invitations, issue resolution, pricing terms negotiations, and contracting Assessing change needs, impacts, and stakeholder management activities and support change management integration activities Performing supplier negotiations and process payment requests Executing sourcing events, evaluating results, communicating with suppliers on quotes, interfacing with contracting, and enabling updates in ERP systems Managing the purchase process, including creating and approving the purchase requisition, selecting suppliers, verifying budget alignment, and confirming delivery of orders Receiving, analyzing, and resolving supplier inquiries, disputes, and payment discrepancies Performing one-off exception purchases, negotiating final pricing terms, and selecting suppliers based on singular demand Performing data analytics, forecast demand, and identifying baselines for purchasing that meet prioritized business requirements Prioritizing and validating potential strategic options, determining the benefits cases for these options, and measuring the performance against established KPI benchmarks
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
A Bachelor degree is required, with a preferred concentration in Business, Finance, Accounting, Logistics, Engineering or related field A minimum of 4 years of procurement experience (indirect materials) is required Knowledge of marketing category – experience in working with marketing agencies would be a plus Experience working in a shared service center is preferred Knowledge of Procurement processes Fluent English, another European language would be a plus Working knowledge of Procurement systems (ERP, SAP, Ariba, etc.) Demonstrated effectively working remotely with different business partners High communication skills, team work, pro active approach, ability to work with minimal supervision, sense of responsibility
