The role/ job purpose:
- Drive procurement and category management globally
- Develop and implement strong category strategies in the category teams and in close collaboration with Regional Category Managers
- Drive strong category performance
- Execute global category management processes
- Execute tasks in close collaboration with regional Sourcing Leads
Key Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Senior Director, Direct Sourcing based in Denmark, you will be responsible for:
- Supporting development of winning cross functional category management teams
- Driving strong category performance (metal parts, electronics)
- Executing global category management processes
- Developing and implement strong category strategies
- Ensuring selection of appropriate preferred suppliers and supplier to the approved vendor list
- Ensuring successful supplier implementation
- Driving supplier management to improve performance
- Ensuring global contract coverage with selected suppliers
- Maintaining a risk minimized supply base
- Driving and support cost out activities within own categories
- Actively and engaged, participating in the “Direct Sourcing Management Team”
- Close collaboration with Regional Sourcing Leads in a way that contributes high degree of employee satisfaction and in a way which supports the desired behavior in Global Sourcing
Qualifications:
- Bachelor or Master university degree
- Minimum 5 years of experience within procurement and strategic category management in a global manufacturing company
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- A proven ability to successfully lead cross- functional global teams and strategic initiatives
- Global mindset
- Fluent in English both written and verbal
- Strong communication skills
- Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong problem-solving ability in a dynamic work environment with minimal supervision
- Excellent relationship management skills with the ability to engage, negotiate and manage key stakeholders and suppliers
- Strong negotiation skills
- Strong facilitation skills to communicate and collaborate within the procurement organization and business stakeholders/suppliers
- Good business acumen
- Knowledge of the sourcing process and tools
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Experience with D365 or other similar ERP systems
- Open-minded, collaborative, and team-driven with good cooperation skills
- Not afraid to challenge status quo
- Well-organized and self-motivated
- Results- orientated with ability to plan and deliver against project deadlines
- Flexibility and agility
- Outgoing and extrovert with a good sense of humor
