Our Client is a global technology company that designs and manufactures connectors and sensors for several industries, such as automotive, industrial equipment, data communication systems, aerospace, defense, medical, oil and gas, consumer electronics and energy.
Key Responsibilities:
In this newly set role you will be reporting to EMEA Commodity manager and you will be responsible for:
- Developing & implementing strategy for assigned supplier portfolio (responsibility for 4 plants in EMEA region) in accordance with the commodity strategy
- Performing supplier evaluations, monitoring supplier quality and delivery in line with the group requirements
- Delivering annual business results (ex. cost savings, supplier performance and compliance) for assigned commodities
- Preparing spend analysis, market insights and total cost of ownership
- Managing sourcing projects, key initiatives, and supplier negotiations
- Driving reporting process to give visibility to the business unit of cost change projects
- Managing the day to day relationship with suppliers to build long term rapport and drive extraordinary results
- Performing capacity analysis and minimize risk in the supply chain
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience managing sourcing projects in strategic/direct purchasing
- Understanding of the metal components industry and technologies (responsibility of few of the following sub categories: cable, casting, fasteners, forging, machining, metal sheets, raw material, springs, stamping)
- Experience in cost analysis, cost breakdowns
- Experience in supplier management
Track record of driving cost improvement opportunities High affinity for numbers and highly analytical
- Critical thinking & curiosity
- Strong potential and willingness to grow within Procurement organization
- Bachelor’s Degree in Economics or Engineering or a comparable qualification
- Fluent English
