Our Client is a global leader in metal flow engineering.
Position goal: this role will take responsibility to manage the overall logistics operating business for EMEA region. This position will lead transport and warehouse activities, focus on the Import / Export and reporting requirements as well as a need for operational business excellence and cost reduction initiatives.
The objective of this role is to ensure all warehouse and transport activities are executed effectively, with scrutiny and high attention to customer service. This role combines analysis and reporting along with hands-on application to ensure excellence in the overall performance of the operations.
Key Responsibilities:
In this newly set regional role you will be mostly responsible for:
- Leading an integrated distribution activity in EMEA region, including transport, warehousing and resource planning. Identifying opportunities for cost reduction, material flow improvement, and business development.
- Informing cost changes, shipment issues, supply concerns, reporting on all import activities including order management, logistics and shipping.
- Actively engaging in order to delivery process in EMEA region to ensure regional revenue and service level targets are delivered.
- Ensuring all the sites/countries provide quality input to ensure adherence of the IBP/SOP2 process in the region. Developing, implement and monitor standardized KPI's.
- Reviewing of monthly KPI’s, managing any service non-compliances, providing input to Regional and Business Reviews ensuring carriers are operating at optimum level for EMEA regional Logistics.
- Leading the deployment of transport planning primary processes across the region following the standard deployment methodology.
- Through engagement in the regional transport and warehouse sourcing process, reviewing and approving the sourcing strategy, developing portfolio of best in class global partners and support local selection where applicable.
- Supporting the Sales and Operations Process and approving the supply and demand plans.
- Ensuring to respect SLA by managing key factors such as cycle count, inventory management, deliveries.
- Managing of the EMEA logistics team (c.a 40 FTE’s) with transport and 3rd party warehousing costs responsibility.
- Building annual budgets, supporting monthly performance to budget reporting and analysis.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or Transportation from an accredited university.
- 10+ years’ experience in Supply Chain Logistics or Transportation incl. regional level experience.
- Ability to think strategically and execute methodically with attention to detail.
- Strong project management skills and willingness to roll up your sleeves and do whatever is necessary.
- Skilled in administrating transport management tools.
- Demonstrated experience leading RFQs in a transport environment.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office products.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English) any additional language is a plus.
- Ability to work in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment focused on innovation.
- Demonstrated aptitude to influence teams outside of reporting structure.
- Proven talent to lead a team spread out over various locations.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences
- Exceptional influencing skills and demonstrable suite of change management communication experience.
- Strong business transformation / change leadership experience.
- Skilled to work independently with little oversight.
- Ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines.
