Our Client is a global technology company that designs and manufactures connectors and sensors for several industries, such as automotive, industrial equipment, data communication systems, aerospace, defense, medical, oil and gas, consumer electronics and energy.
Key Responsibilities:
In this newly set role you will be reporting to EMEA Commodity manager and you will be responsible for:
- Strategic management of supplier portfolio for Tooling and Equipment in the EMEA region
- Sourcing for new suppliers, alternatives for current suppliers and equipment portfolio
- Managing the given KPI’s -Savings; Preferred Supplier Spend, E-Source Spend; Benchmarking, General Business partner relationship; PO process management
- Negotiating of Contracts and Supply Agreements with suppliers, Contract Management
- Negotiating of price, Inco- and Payment Terms Support BU’s cost savings objectives
- Identifying and executing cost saving opportunities
- Monitoring/analyzing the market regarding lead time and technology changes
- Perform risk analyses and minimize risk in particular projects
- Cooperation with Process Engineering; R&D; Design-Department, Shop Floor, PM; Legal etc. for projects / issues
- Maintaining of all relevant Purchase SAP transactions
Qualifications:
- Degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Industrial Engineering preferred
- Good Business Acumen and analytical skills
- 5+ years work experience (procurement, sourcing, engineering roles), preferably within one of following Industries: ENERGY; MEDICAL; AUTOMOTIVE; HOME APPLAIANCE; INDUSTRIAL
- Good inter personal, organizational and communication skills
- Excellent Negotiation Skills
- Pro-active and responsive to customer (internal and external) requirements
- High level of literacy and numeracy/attention to detail
- Good time management and ability to prioritize tasks
- Professional and flexible approach
- Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Experience with contract management (Equipment/Tooling Commercial Agreement; Service Agreement; LOI; NDA; etc..)
- Fluent in English, German and French will be a plus
- Good skills in SAP, MS Office (Excel/Pivot etc.)
