Our Client is a  leading manufacturer of highly engineered critical components and customized technology solutions for the energy, transportation and industrial markets.

The role

As a Senior  Buyer   you will be responsible for definition and execution of purchasing strategy for indirect materials such as: Capex, MRO, administration, IT, facilities. This is a new role in the organization.

Key responsibilities

Reporting to the Group Purchasing Manager  you will be mostly responsible for:

  • definition and execution for indirect materials category strategy
  • analyzing supplier cost performance data, driving cost reduction projects
  • identifying, developing and managing strategic business relationships to ensure the alignment of sourcing strategies to meet local business requirements
  • running procurement projects with cross functional team
  • negotiation of contract agreements with suppliers
  • contract management
  • building trust relations with internal stakeholders
  • suppliers relations management (supplier selection, defining Total Cost of Ownership, market analysis, cost benchmarking & complaint handling)

The Ideal Candidate will have

  • BA degree
  • minimum 3 years of procurement related experience ideally from a manufacturing industry Environment
  • minimum 3 years of experience in indirect materials category management
  • strong project management skills and experience in leading and participating in project teams in an internal complex environment
  • strong analytic and systematic skills
  • customer focus to ensure that expectations and needs are met
  • positive attitude and curiosity
  • Problem solving and decision making abilities to ensure fast and proper actions to support the business
  • experience in having the “Customer in focus”
  • strong negotiation skills
  • good people skills and a good ability to impact different stakeholders on different levels in the organization
  • high personal drive and is result oriented
  • strong time management skills
  • proactive approach
  • very good/fluent  English - spoken and written, fluent Polish
