The role
As a category Associate you will be in charge for developing the category and sub category strategies managed End to End for EMEA region. Categories you would be responsible for are: Capital Equipment, Capital Construction, Facility Maintenance Services, Energy, MRO.
In this role you will monitor, analyze and report on the organization’s activities and ability to deliver against targets for financial performance, quality, and service and compliance adherence.
Key responsibilities
Reporting to the Procurement Senior Manager you will be mostly responsible for:
identification and execution of strategic sourcing projects leading and executing all steps of sourcing and spend management strategy (RFI, RFP, Bid, Negotiation & Contracts, Cash Flow compliance) in alignment across the region and ensuring global maximum leverage performing stakeholder management to get visibility on business’ activities /issues and to become a trusted advisor to the business to identify sourcing opportunities leading and support change management related activities and represent sourcing in front of business stakeholders working in close collaboration with Category team to deliver annual value improvements and drive competitive advantage translating global strategies into regional execution and deployment, in alignment with regional business priorities managing own sourcing projects in pre-defined systems, Ariba eMarketplace Sourcing, SFDC
- ensuring and delivering compliance with regional/country Legal regulation on financial, service, reliability, quality, innovation, and growth commitments. Ensuring compliance with company’s policies
shaping regional supplier base per the global strategy assisting in executing the vision, strategy and implementation plan for a specific category or sub-categories of spend to ensure they effectively meet the long-term requirements of the business partners and deliver the maximum value managing supplier relationships for category specific preferred suppliers
- supporting implementation of new solutions and introduction of the new service providers
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- minimum 5 years of experience in Procurement Category Management or Strategic Sourcing - category management experience is preferred
- previous experience with categories: Capex, MRO, facilities, industrial services or direct materials is proffered
- fluent English - spoken and written, another European language on fluent level is a plus
demonstrated track record of successful influencing, partnering and working with stakeholders and business partners results oriented and track record of delivering results in an international corporation project management skills Strong commitment and sense of urgency partnership, collaboration and teamwork skills flexibility in dealing with complex environment broad-based understanding of core Procurement areas of focus regarding Supplier Management strong verbal and written communication skill with ability to confidently present complex information analytical, sound judgment and decision making, problem solver, able to prioritize requests, and propose effective cost/customer service alternatives when necessary
